McConaughey and Harrelson’s Brothers Debuts with Two Episodes on Apple TV

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson bring their real-life friendship into a scripted comedy with Brothers, which debuts on Apple TV on Wednesday, September 23. The first two episodes arrive together; one further episode is scheduled each Wednesday through November 4.

The actors play fictionalised versions of themselves rather than a documentary account of their lives. In the series, a family visit to Matthew’s Texas ranch is upended by a suggestion that the two friends might be biological brothers. Woody’s search for the truth collides with Matthew’s possible run for governor of Texas. Holland Taylor plays Matthew’s mother, whose revelation sets the plot in motion. Lee Eisenberg is among the executive producers, alongside the two leads, and Trent O’Donnell directs several episodes including the pilot.
