Toy Story 5 Arrives on Disney+ September 23 After Theatrical Run

Toy Story 5 is scheduled to begin streaming on Disney+ on September 23, bringing Pixar’s summer theatrical release to home viewers. The film joins the service’s collection of earlier Toy Story movies, making the latest chapter available alongside the series rather than as a separate television programme.

The film reunites Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie as the toys confront a new challenge in Bonnie’s room: Lilypad, a tablet device with its own ideas about what is best for their child. That premise sets up a familiar tension for families between physical play and screens, though the story remains an animated adventure rather than advice about children’s device use.

Andrew Stanton directs, with Kenna Harris as co-director, and the film is rated PG. Pixar’s September streaming date follows its June cinema debut. The transition matters for households that waited to watch together at home, but a streaming release does not itself change the movie’s age rating or establish that it is available in every country under identical terms.
