WJCT Studio Five podcast services: What Jacksonville creators can book

People looking for a place to record a podcast in Jacksonville can now book Studio Five at WJCT Public Media’s downtown headquarters. The service offers acoustically treated recording space, professional equipment and a producer to handle the technical side of a session. Creators can also seek help developing a show, producing audio or video, editing episodes and getting a podcast onto major platforms.

WJCT announced Studio Five Podcast Production Services on October 5, 2026, as a service for independent creators, community organizations and businesses. It gives people access to the public-media organization’s production facilities and expertise without requiring them to build a recording setup of their own.

What podcast services does Studio Five offer?

Someone starting from scratch can book a consultation to work through a show concept, episode ideas and a launch plan. For recording, WJCT says Studio Five has three acoustically treated sets with professional-grade equipment. A studio booking includes a dedicated producer or engineer to manage the recording and help hosts and guests through the session.

The studio supports audio recording, two-camera video production or both at once, according to WJCT’s service information. Creators do not need to bring recording equipment, though WJCT recommends arriving with scripts, questions or talking points. Its team also offers on-location podcast production in the Jacksonville area for projects that cannot be recorded at the studio.

After recording, clients can take their raw files and edit them elsewhere or hire WJCT for post-production. Available services include editing, show notes, title suggestions and promotional clips. WJCT also offers podcast setup and distribution support for creators who need help preparing a show for platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Studio Five is not limited to podcasts. WJCT says the facility can be booked for audiobooks, commercial voiceovers and other professional audio projects.

How much does it cost to record at WJCT?

WJCT’s published prices list Studio Five rental at $150 per hour, $500 for up to four hours and $800 for up to eight hours. Other listed services have separate prices, including audio editing at $125 per episode for an episode of up to 45 minutes, a podcast setup package at $250 and a consultation of up to 90 minutes at $350. Longer episodes and additional work may cost more, so creators should confirm what their project requires before booking.

WJCT says studio time is booked by the hour. Its stated standard turnaround for a professionally edited episode is five business days; clients handling their own post-production can typically receive raw files the same day or within 24 hours. Those timelines may help a creator decide whether to book time for one episode or record several shorter episodes in a session.

Where is Studio Five, and who owns the finished podcast?

Studio Five is at WJCT’s headquarters, 100 Festival Park Avenue in downtown Jacksonville. Letisha Bereola, WJCT’s director of podcasting, developed the service. WJCT says early clients include the JAX Chamber, United Way of Northeast Florida and local businesses.

Clients retain ownership of content produced through Studio Five. WJCT also says client projects are separate from its news operations and are not WJCT programming. Recording at the public-media facility does not, by itself, mean a podcast will be distributed or promoted on WJCT’s editorial platforms.

For prospective podcasters who want to see the space before booking, WJCT has scheduled a Studio Five open house for October 13, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitors will be able to tour the studio, meet the podcasting team and ask about recording sessions.
