Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense: $84.99 Price, October 22 Preorders and GT7 Spec IV Update

PlayStation has announced a limited-edition Gran Turismo DualSense controller for PS5. It costs $84.99 in the United States, goes up for preorder on October 22, 2026, and launches globally starting December 10. The reveal accompanies Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV Part 1 update, available October 15 with six new cars, the SUGO racing circuit and new ways to explore and collect vehicles.

Gran Turismo DualSense price, preorder date and design

The Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense has racing stripes, motorsport-style graphics and a textured front plate designed to resemble carbon fiber. PlayStation says the controller celebrates 30 years of the racing series.

U.S. preorders begin at 10 a.m. Eastern on October 22 through PlayStation Direct, with participating retailers also expected to take orders. PlayStation says quantities will be limited and supplies may sell out. The $84.99 figure is its recommended U.S. retail price; individual retailer prices may vary.

The controller is a separate hardware release, not part of the October game update. PlayStation has not announced a special Gran Turismo 7 edition or a game bundle with it. Its appeal is the commemorative design rather than a newly announced controller feature.

What’s in the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 update?

Spec IV Part 1 is Gran Turismo 7 update 1.72. It became available on October 15, 2026, adding the SUGO International Racing Course in Japan, six cars, six World Circuits events and several collection and viewing features. The update itself is free for players who own the game, although acquiring the new cars requires in-game credits earned through play or purchased separately. An internet connection is required to download the update.

The six additions cover a wide range of driving styles:

  • Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86
  • Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94
  • Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87
  • Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23
  • Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26
  • Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo

Players can find the Xiaomi, Mazda and Honda Step WGN models in Brand Central. The Ferrari and Citroën are listed in Used Cars, while the racing Civic is available through Legend Cars. Those dealership distinctions matter if a player updates the game and does not immediately see every new vehicle in the same place.

SUGO track and new races

The update brings SUGO International Racing Course to Gran Turismo 7. The circuit, in Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture, is 3,586 meters long and has 13 corners. Its hilly layout includes a steep final corner leading onto a straight of more than 700 meters.

Three of the six new World Circuits events take place at SUGO: European Sunday Cup 400, World Touring Car 600 and World Touring Car 800. The other additions are a Sunday Cup race at Autopolis Short Course, a Vision Gran Turismo Trophy event at Spa-Francorchamps and European Clubman Cup 600 at Dragon Trail – Seaside Reverse.

New tools for collectors and car photography

Spec IV Part 1 also adds a Vintage section to Brand Central for cars from 2000 or earlier. It provides a route to the Used Cars and Legend Cars dealerships. Players who have reached the game’s ending can use a new Car Concierge feature to request a particular vintage model, color and condition. The number of simultaneous orders depends on Collector Level, up to a maximum of four.

Brand Central gains an Experience mode with driving challenges for Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai and Polestar. In the Garage, a new Car Viewer lets players examine their current car from different angles, change the background and adjust details such as the wheel position and lights for photos.

The Collector Level cap rises from 70 to 90, with three new Extra Menus tied to higher levels. Players also get a revised opening cinematic and two featured Scapes photo collections: Angeles Crest Highway and Sportsland SUGO.

For players interested mainly in the controller, the date to note is October 22 for preorders. For those returning to the game, the cars, circuit and features are part of the October 15 update; the controller does not arrive until December.
