iOS 27 Begins Rollout With New AI Assistant and Parental Controls

Apple has begun rolling out iOS 27 and updates across its other major software platforms, introducing a more conversational artificial-intelligence assistant alongside expanded parental controls and system improvements.

The release includes Siri AI, a new version of the assistant powered by Apple Intelligence. The beta is initially available in English and is designed to understand personal context, information visible on screen and requests that require actions across supported apps.

Apple says support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish is planned for October. Availability varies by device: Apple Intelligence features require newer supported hardware, while the broader operating-system update reaches a wider range of compatible products.

The software also introduces tools intended to help parents manage children’s digital experiences, along with updates to everyday apps, performance and interface behaviour. Related releases include iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27.

Users should check device compatibility and back up important data before installing a major operating-system update. Some AI functions may remain in beta or arrive gradually by language and region.
