Bruce Banner also appears in an underground facility while attempting to control the Hulk. His isolation is interrupted by Doctor Doom, creating a direct encounter between a surviving original Avenger and the next film’s central antagonist. A final, brief image involving Doom’s metal mask echoes the sound that closed the original theatrical version of Endgame, replacing the memory of Tony Stark’s armour-building with a warning about what is coming next.
A launchpad for Doomsday
By attaching these scenes to a familiar blockbuster, Marvel Studios is using Encore as both a theatrical revival and a narrative handover. The additions connect Steve’s altered history, Loki’s relationship with time, the TVA’s multiverse crisis and Banner’s fate to Doctor Doom’s emerging plan.
