NEET PG 2026 Result Out Early: Scorecard, Answer Key and Counselling Guide
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has declared the NEET PG 2026 result ahead of schedule. The result was published on September 24, although the examination bulletin had said it would be announced by September 30.
Candidates can now view their raw score and NEET PG 2026 rank through the result section of the official NBEMS website. Individual scorecards and question-wise answer information will become available separately on or after October 1.
How to check the NEET PG 2026 result
- Open the official NBEMS website.
- Select the examinations section and open the NEET PG page.
- Choose the 2026 session and select the result notice.
- Open the result document and search for your application ID or roll number.
- Check the score and rank shown against your details.
- Download the result document or save the relevant page for reference.
Use only the result link displayed on the official examination page. Candidates should avoid entering application credentials on links circulated through social media, messaging groups or unofficial result portals.
When will individual scorecards be available?
NBEMS has said candidates can download their individual scorecards on or after October 1, 2026. The scorecard will be accessible through the candidate login and should be saved immediately in PDF format.
The download facility will remain available for six months from the date of issuance. NBEMS does not provide system-generated scorecards later by post or email, so candidates should preserve multiple digital copies and at least one clear printout.
Answer key and response details
The answer key is also scheduled to be published on or after October 1. Through the individual applicant login, candidates will be able to access the question identification numbers, correct answer-key IDs, response IDs marked during the examination and the score awarded for each question under the evaluation scheme.
This means candidates should not expect a conventional booklet reproducing every full question. They should compare the question IDs, official answer IDs and their recorded responses carefully after the facility opens.
NBEMS said subject experts reviewed every question used in both NEET PG 2026 papers for technical correctness and found no question technically incorrect. The result announcement does not specify a fresh challenge window, so candidates should not assume that objections will be accepted unless NBEMS issues a separate notice.

Meeting the qualifying cutoff makes a candidate eligible for the admission process but does not guarantee a seat. Actual allotment depends on rank, category, quota, available seats, choices submitted and the rules applied in each counselling round.
What qualified candidates should do next
- Keep the admit card, application confirmation, result and scorecard together.
- Prepare the MBBS degree or provisional certificate, internship completion proof and medical registration certificate.
- Check that category, EWS and PwBD certificates meet the format and validity rules of the relevant counselling authority.
- Collect identity documents, photographs and any domicile or service certificates required for state counselling.
- Begin preparing a realistic speciality-and-college preference list based on rank, fees, bond conditions, stipend, location and recognition status.
The Medical Counselling Committee handles the central counselling process for applicable postgraduate seats, while states and Union Territories prepare their own merit lists under their eligibility and reservation rules. As of September 25, the central NEET PG 2026 counselling schedule had not been posted. Candidates should therefore monitor both the central counselling portal and their state authority rather than waiting for an alert from NBEMS.
What to do if the result or scorecard will not download
Heavy traffic may make the website slow immediately after a release. If a page does not open, wait briefly, refresh once and try again using an updated browser. Switching from an in-app browser to Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari can also help.
If the PDF opens as a blank page, allow pop-ups and downloads, clear the browser cache or use a desktop computer. For login errors, enter the same application credentials used during registration and use the official recovery option instead of repeatedly guessing the password.
Candidates should capture a screenshot of any persistent error showing the date and time. If the official record contains incorrect personal details or cannot be accessed after repeated attempts, the matter should be raised through the NBEMS communication portal with the application ID, roll number and supporting screenshot.
